Festive season, christmas decoration, red, gold, silver....

12^th of November, the weather is pretty good for this time of the year.

It is raining sometimes but still warm. I do turn the heating now overnight, just to make sure that I wake up and have a bath in warm house J

Shops are now already started their window Christmas decoration and you start feeling the festive time is on its way. Really time is flying and all happening sooner rather than later. So we have decided to decorate our flower shop window as well, Christmas tree, Santa, lights, snow…. Those sparkle definitely giving only positive feelings.

We also start the preparation with artificial Christmas door wreaths, garlands etc. Its amazing once I start so many ideas come into my mind and I want to fulfil them all J green, gold, silver as well as contemporary themes and colours. Long lasting flowers...

Today I have decided to write about flowers that really last long time in the vase.

First thing of course you need to have a look at flower itself when you are buying those.

Choose flower shops instead of supermarkets (of course you can buy one there if there is no any other alternative)

To decorate your home or congratulate a person who will enjoy your bouquet, arrangement or just single flowers of course choose by preferred or favourite colour first. Its autumn now so best sellers are yellow, orange, red etc.

I personally give a first place to chrysanthemum any size, single headed or sprays, big or small any of them lasts at least couple of weeks, just remember change water every 3 days.

 

 

The second prize goes to alstroemerias, commonly called the Peruvian lily or lily of the Incas. Also come in different colours and looks amazing as a single flower in bunches in bouquets or in arrangements.

And the third prize goes to Gerberas and Germinis, there is a small trick how to extend the vase life. Don’t add a lot of water, about an inch, inch and a half is more than enough for this flowers (of course if gerberas is in the bouquet add usual amount of water, don’t forget to cut the ends before putting in the vase and remove all the leaves that might in water). Gerberas also come in so many different colours, germini have slightly smaller heads.

Chelsea blue...

Blue flowers, try to google that…
Not such a big variety right, my favourite is hydrangea, looks amazing just itself or in arrangements. This week I was lucky to present two of them.
Both funeral flower arrangements, funeral letters BROTHER and delicate blue and white funeral wreath.
Looks great, how do you think? JNext time I will post the pictures of the whole process during arranging flowers. Its always exciting, because you don’t know till the end how the arrangements will look at the very end.

Autumn Flowers

Its autumn officially!

I even put the heating on tonight. Although its good for my cut flowers, because they feel better when it is cold a bit J

Basket flower arrangements

Basket flower arrangements become very popular recently.

It’s beautiful, very long lasting, you don’t need to have a vase for that, the only thing is to remember to add some water every 3-4 days and that kind of arrangements will bring a smile into your face every single moment.

Arrangements could be done in the variety of colours and flowers, as well as different sizes and shapes, horizontal and vertical, round or triangle, as a centrepiece or side table. Choose the one right for you.

I have seen them only in the internet and some pictures in magazines.

But what a beauty it is!!!!

Roses come in different colours, looks like peonies and smell gorgeous. 

And I was lucky to make a hand tied bouquet from Juliet this time.

I have added some vuvuzela roses to bright up this bouquet and also big headed chrysanthemum to make it fluffier J

Even Kate Middleton was having a bouquet of yellow David Austin roses.

Purple and white is my favourite colours and those looks amazing, elegant and vibrant together.

So many arrangements have been already made but every time I am receiving the order I imagine in my head how I’m gona do it next time.

Wedding flower arrangements

Good morning,

Finally I have time to drop a message to my blog.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. I had a busy one but on the same time was enjoying every single minute of that.

Wedding flower arranging is my favourite. Yes I like to arrange any king of flowers and occasions but there is something special in weddings. When bride in not sure what she want and is exited and a bit stressed in her wedding bouquet will be exactly the same as in her mind.

This bride came to me 3 month in advance to order wedding flowers. She was prepared with wedding dress pictures and some ideas for flowers, shape and colour. But still was looking for the perfect colour of roses to be putted into the brides’ bouquet.

At the very end we have found ideal – avalanche rose, delicate, light peachy flower.

So on Sunday everything were prepared – wedding brides shower bouquet, bridesmaid’s bunches, buttonholes (beautifully wired together with freesias and eucalyptus) and table arrangements. I knocked the door and what a reaction it was – “Amazing its exactly what I wanted!” J

Yes most probably that kind of positive makes me like weddings more and more every time.
